Osamu Hoshino President & CEO
Mr. Hoshino’s experience includes European product planning and North American marketing at the International Division of Pioneer Corp. In addition, he was engaged in the launch of lithium-ion battery business operations in Taiwan and China as part of the Nihon Denchi Corp. (currently GS Yuasa) Planning Division. For more than 10 years, he was involved in the management of venture business through venture investing and JV establishment business at Trend Micro Corp. In 2014, he established Headspring, a global, open innovation company, with the aim of providing energy
systems characterized by the concept of local production for local consumption to emerging markets, using his substantial and varied experience in the establishment and launch of companies in eight countries and experience in a wide range of manufacturing businesses ranging from consumer products to industrial equipment. He graduated from Keio University and obtained an MBA from the Graduate School of Management, McGill University.
Takanori Sugita Director & CTO
Mr. Sugita was engaged in research and development tasks related to power electronics technologies and control technologies at Meidensha Corp. In addition, he was involved in the development of advanced power electronics as a technical manager for a venture company. Well-versed in semiconductor power conversion technologies, control technologies for use in power electronics, next-generation power semiconductor application technologies such as SiC, and special PWM generation technologies, he has developed several new techniques for new energy and energy-
saving systems. Also, he has to his credit a number of joint collaboration projects with leading companies and has contributed to the development of the power electronics business. Mr. Sugita graduated from the Tokyo Institute of Technology and completed a master’s degree in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the Graduate School of Science and Technology, Tokyo Institute of Technology.
Yoshiki Okajima Director & CIO
Mr. Okajima built mission critical systems as the person in charge of the Information Systems
Division at the Semiconductor Analysis Center, implemented ISO 27001 (information security management system), proposed a business model utilizing an analysis data processing system, and
led development tasks. He has extensive experience in devising systems for mission-critical system optimization, network, communications, IT security, building server environments and social development projects at a venture company. Mr. Okajima graduated from Hokkaido University and completed a master’s program in the Department of Physics, Graduate School of Science, Hokkaido University.
Minoru Tada Auditor
(in charge of human resource
development)
After extensive experience in personnel, general affairs, sales, and overseas offices at Nippon Steel Corporation, Mr. Tada worked as the personnel manager of Citibank, Avon Products Inc., and Akzo Nobel. Presently, he serves as the director of the Subaru Human Resources Research Institute (personnel system planning, training, and executive coaching). At Headspring, he provides support
for the construction of a mechanism that promotes individual growth by using each individual’s inherent strengths, management of an organization that creates new value, and time management based on his experience in Japanese and American companies. He graduated from the University of Tokyo with a Bachelor of Laws degree and obtained an MBA from Columbia University (Fulbright).
